Here’s a simple project you can make at the last minute if you need a quick Christmas gift. Its a magnetic bottle opener. There are magnets to catch the bottle caps. For mine, I used reclaimed computer hard drive magnets. You can make these from any kind of wood, just use whatever you have on hand. You’ll need some kind of strong magnets. Some large, rare earth magnets work great. I wanted to do a little recycling, so I decided to use a bunch of old hard drive magnets. I used a piece of barn wood finished with Danish Oil. This simple project turned out great and doesn’t take much time to make. Check out the build video below.
