Happy New Year, This year, one of my goals is to get a little more organized around the shop. I always end up with left over screws, parts, and pieces laying around. I don’t have a good system for storing small parts. I decided it was time to change that.
I managed to clean out a toolbox drawer that I thought would be perfect for this. Then, using some reclaimed plywood and some other wood I had around the shop, I glued up this organizer. It has several small compartments, 3 larger ones, and 1 that is the full depth of the drawer. This gives me plenty of separate compartments to help keep things organized.
This is a simple shop project that you can modify to fit your storage area. If you have a small drawer, nake it smaller, or larger for a large drawer. You could even make several of these and use them as the drawer itself. Just install some drawer slides and mount them in some kind of cabinet.
