Lamps, Lamps, Lamps. I have been holding on to these copper pipes and fittings sor quite a long time with the intent on making these lamps. Now is the time.
I sawed up a tree limb that came down in a recent wind storm to make the base. After planing it flat, it was on to the pipes. I unsoldered the connections to separate the pieces I needed. After cutting the pieces down to the sizes I need, I soldered them back together. Then it was just some simple electrical connections and attaching the sockets to the fittings. After the wires were connected, I attached the pipes to the bases. I secured the wires to the base with some hot glue to avoid any snags. Finally I finished them off with some vintage Edison style, LED bulbs.
These turned out great. They work awesome and have a super unique look.
