A lot of times, I need a router for just a quick round over and don’t want to take the time to set up the router table. I thought it would be nice to have a small trim router always at the ready for such tasks. I decided to incorporate this in my new drill press table.
I made the table out of some 12 ply plywood, and trimmed it out with hardwood. I mounted the router on one side, and used some T Nuts, to secure the table to the drill press. I also routed a couple channels so I could install some T Track to allow the fence to be adjusted, and to be able to incorporate some other clamping methods and jigs.
All in all, the table came out great. I did have several difficulties along the way that I had to overcome. I thought this would be a simple project and I could knock it out quickly, but that was not the case.
Check out the build video below, and see the issues I had.
