Its time for episode 2 of my Great Guitar Build Off project. Today I’m building the neck for the Hayley Guitars Dorian.

To build the neck, I used Hard Maple for the neck, and Rosewood for the fretboard. I added a 2 way truss rod as well as a pair of carbon fiber reinforcing rods to add some stiffness to the neck. After installing the frets, I used my neck routing jig to rough out the shape, then finished the shaping by hand using rasps and files.
