Do you have a cast iron pan that your food continues to stick to even after seasoning it again and again? There is something really simple that you can try that just may fix that issue.
Grab your pan and hit it with some sandpaper. I used some 120 grit sandpaper on my random orbital sander and lightly sanded my pans surface. I followed it up with a little hand sanding around the edges. Thats it! The goal isn’t to get it to a mirror surface, but to just remove the rough spots left behind during the casting process. Once you’ve sanded it smooth, you must reseason it before using the pan, but once its been seasoned you should now have a nice smooth pan that your food does not stick to.
This is a great project that really only takes a few minute to complete. It will transform a pan you don’t enjoy using, into your new favorite cooking pan. Thanks for stopping by.
