Its been really cold here and that makes working in the shop very difficult. Today, I’m working inside where its warm. A friend sent me a bunch of souvenir knives that I’d like to make some new knife handles for. I’d like to 3D print these new knife scales. I’ll show you how I use my regular home printer/scanner to scan the old scales, get them sized properly, then create a 3D model using CAD software. Once the new model is created, I can then 3D Print the new knife handles to attach to the knives. This is a great process for recreating lots of item in the 3D space.
