I think spring is finally here. That means its time to start mowing the yard. My lawn tractor is not ready to go yet. That’s the goal for this project.
Getting your mower ready for the season, means changing the oil, fuel filter, spark plug and air filter. These are recommended no matter what the make of your machine is. If you’ve had your mower for a while and haven’t done any of these things, you might consider spending a couple hours and performing these tasks. Its just like your car. If you want it to last you must maintain it. For my machine, I was able to get a maintenance kit, specific to my model from my local dealer. If you can’t find such a kit, don’t worry, most of the parts you’ll need, you can find at your local auto parts store. In most cases, you can just take the parts in and match them up with the replacements.
I can’t go through how to do it on your machine, because its likely different from mine. The process will be very similar but, the steps can vary from machine to machine. Check out the video then compare your machine. Try to locate things like the oil filter (if it has one), fuel filter, spark plug, and air filter. Get familiar with it. After getting it ready, you’ll be good for the season. Happy Mowing.
