Back in the day, I spent a lot of time working on cars. We were always building hot rods and causing a ruckus around town. I spent many nights wrenching on greasy car parts and rebuilding carburetors on the kitchen table. I really enjoyed that and haven’t done much of that in many years, so when a friend asked my if I could rebuild some carburetors for his old rat rod, I happily said yes.

This car has a pair of Holley 9776 carbs on it. These are a version of Holleys 4160 style carb. Its very similar to the carbs I used to use a lot so I’m quite familiar with them. They are 450CFM each and have mechanical secondaries and no choke so there are considerable less parts than what I’m used to.

There’s no way I’m going to be able to describe the entire process on the web page so I’m not even going to try to. In the video, I covered the full rebuild process from tear down to re-assembly. This video is a little bit longer than normal, but I wanted to cover the whole process in one shot to make it easier for someone looking for the information.
