I’m at the point in the acoustic guitar build where I’m almost ready to close the box. Before I can glue on the top, I need to do some more brace carving. A finger plane is a great tool for that, but I don’t have one suitable for this job. I decided to make my own. I’m making the plane irons from an old used table saw blade, then making several small planes. Making these little planes is very addicting and I ended up making 4 of them, each with different bed angles. This is a project you really should try. They’re so fun to make and use.
